Kindergarten is not what it used to be! "No child left behind" means that schools are pushing children to become readers, even those who are barely
5 years old and are not interested in reading. My granddaughter has struggled and cried over learning to read until she started working with See abc's®.
It's a beginning reading program that helps those lines on paper make sense to a 5-year old. Doreese relates pictures that children are familiar with to
teach lettersand thesounds they make. She has analyzed a multitude of sounds that we read and has written interesting stories that use only those introductory sounds.
The stories also encourage vocabulary development.
